“ I finally found really good soul food. Stop in for lunch and didn’t realize they had so much. U.S. Farm Raised Fried (whole, filet and steak) catfish, big bone buffalo, chittlins, hog maws, turkey necks, neck bones, baked chicken and too much more to add. I got turkey necks, greens and black eye peas. The turkey necks were nice and season. The greens and peas tasted like they were straight from the garden. I also got a small thing of chittlins. They were seasoned and clean. The staff were polite and fast. Everyone calls you baby lol. I will be back several times. ”
“ Where do I start!!! My coworkers were talking about this place, and I said I wasn't going to get anything today...Boooooooooooi, did I ever lie!! This is my first time ordering from Marvin's, and most definitely WON'T BE MY LAST,4SHO!!!! The line said it ALL, but they were popping those plates out like a chicken laying eggs . There was sooooooo much to choose from, and everything was exquisite !! I need up ordering the turkey neck plate with greens and white beans. Everything was seasoned perfect . U could taste the love in every bite!!! Also I was talking to my coworkers about a blackberry cobbler and Lord behold they had some and it was fye !! It's been awhile since I've had cobbler like that. Not since my grandma passed but it was gooooood. If you're around 3700 Lamar Ave, don't sleep Marvin's Hot Kitchen. Really good soul food. “ My husband and I have found our Restaurant Marvin's Deli And Grocery ( Marvin's Hot Kitchen) gets 5 stars from us.. Clean environment, polite associates, and Marvin himself is polite and welcoming. My husband ordered Neckbones, Dressing, Candied Yams. I ordered Chicken and Dressing, Turkey Leg, Pinto Beans, Cabbage. There was a lot to choose from and everything looked Delectable and Delicious. ”

“ A hidden gem of Lamar. They "Do too much" to make a homemade hot plate and have daily fresh fruit and handmade desserts. Complete drink coolers with everything from juice and chocolate milk to healthy energy drinks. ALL of this for less than a value meal at ANY fastfood establishment. God bless that man that runs it. I've never gotten bad food OR service there ....I have been a customer for years...for years...always great service and food When is the last time you could say that about a restaurant? (The order showed below was just under 10 dollars, and includes a choice of 'bread' you want from a biscuit to a pancake) You can buy dinner items at 6 am ..pork chops ..fried chicken .. rottell mac N cheese ... chicken leg quarters ...... fried bologna,ham, and spam. .. cinnamon rolls ...fresh cake, brownies,and pies. “ This restaurant is the perfect place for a taste of home cooking! I always get the fried catfish & it's always fried perfect. Always a golden flaky crust, so you know they change the oil frequently! I have nothing but great things to say about all the food options & taste mmm mmm. The peace cobbler & banana pudding is the icing on the cake!! Btw, shout out to the cook & crew for ALWAYS being friendly (no attitudes here) & the music really make you feel at home as soon as you walk in. Another trucker told me about this place & ever time I come to Memphis I must stop at Marvin's! I'm grateful there's room to pull my rig! Back to the road ”
